Consulting Project Manager

Overview

VISION Consulting Project Managers are responsible for managing a multi-disciplinary team to deliver the overall result to the customer.

Location: UK / Ireland

Type: Permanent

Salary band: Negotiable

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing the big picture by observing how delivery is going, identifying breakdowns and intervening in an entrepreneurial manner.
  • Design of engagements to produce significant value.
  • Successful management of projects using VISION’s Commitment-based Management approach.
  • Managing key stakeholders and their satisfaction, including interpreting and managing the mood of clients and making appropriate interventions at senior and executive level.
  • Assessing and grounding the value being produced.
  • Leading and facilitating meetings, presentations, and workshops.
  • Listening for underlying and unspoken concerns, responding to them, and creating listening in others.

We are looking for people who:

  • Want to join an environment where they are continually challenged to develop.
  • Have a history of successfully delivering projects with a minimum of four years managing projects in a customer environment.
  • Are continuously focused on managing the value to the customer.
  • Build and maintain their own network of business relationships.
  • Are comfortable presenting engagingly to large groups.

  • Have good listening skills (are drawn to what’s different in what is being said).
  • Write well (thoughtful, clear, grammatically correct prose).

Senior Business Development Executive

Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Development Executive to join our dynamic, established and growing consultancy firm. This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of growing VISION through developing existing customers and introducing new ones. This is a varied role for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to gain experience across the full scope of a business. To excel in this role, you should be an active listener, have a compelling sales personality while understanding your customer and develop offers to meet their needs.

Type: Permanent

Salary band: Negotiable

Key responsibilities:

  • Understanding VISION’s offerings and being able to effectively communicate them
  • Researching organisations and individuals to find new opportunities
  • Finding and developing new markets
  • Networking and building relationships with potential clients
  • Increasing the value of existing clients while attracting new ones
  • Managing the sales cycle from the initial conversation with customers to securing a deal and then creating long-term partnerships
  • Creatively managing business accounts
  • Producing and managing a comprehensive business forecast which is in line with companies’ requirements
  • Developing and maintaining personal knowledge of priority sectors; market trends and routes to markets
  • Continually develop your knowledge and skills to ensure they remain current and active
  • Contributing to the development of VISION across Ireland and the UK
  • Flexibility required for travel (local and National) with a full clean Driving Licence

Experience:

  • A proven track history of delivering against a sales target and managing customer accounts
  • Experience presenting consultancy services to a specific market
  • Experience in establishing, nurturing and maintaining relationships with clients
  • Experience with sales performance metrics and target driven organisations
  • Knowledge of Utilities industry highly desirable
