Chris Davis
Group Director
Group Director Chris Davis is responsible for the sale, design and leadership of large-scale, enterprise-level projects. He is also one of the developers of the commitment-based design approach employed by VISION.
Chris has led projects for IBM, Citibank, ABB, CVS and Warner Music Group, among others. His projects have included:
- redesigning the parts planning processes for a billion-dollar national inventory system
- instituting the programme management practices for a $350 million software development effort, successfully delivered and written about in The Complexity Advantage by Kelly and Allison
- the mobilisation of a strategic change initiative to accelerate and improve the construction of billion-dollar power plants.
He is also a senior facilitator having led workshops focused on increasing participants' abilities to make things happen and has spoken at multiple complexity conferences on the new paradigm for management.
In the 1980s, Chris was the executive director of Logonet, an educational enterprise, where he was involved in the research, design and delivery of programmes to develop skills in innovation, organisational design and leadership. In 1990 he participated in the founding of Business Design Associates, which joined forces with VISION in 2000.
Chris has a BA in philosophy from Pomona College and an MA in the philosophy of language under the mentorship of BDA founder Dr Fernando Flores and sponsored by William Lyon University.
