Title: Outsourcing Partner for major Strategic Trading Application
The Bank needed a development partner to assist in the maintenance and on-going development of their strategic middle and back-office processing system for Swaps and Derivatives.
A joint team was mobilised to complete a three-month pilot project to prove that a near shore solution would work. After a successfully completing the pilot project an on-going relationship was established and VISION worked continuously with the Bank from April 1999 through to February 2002. Through focused recruitment and training, VISION quickly grew the team and took ownership of a number of different components within the system providing both new application development and 3rd level support capability.
VISION became a trusted development partner, and delivered in excess of 30 person-years of development capability. The Bank had a flexible-resourcing alternative with a team of business analysts and developers in Belfast having in-depth knowledge of several aspects of their system. The relationship has resulted in VISION providing similar services to other divisions with the Bank.
